Imagine a people loving God, serving God, and obeying even when it is a sacrifice to their comfort. Imagine a people choosing to worship God with everything they had, worshipping above and before everything and anything this world could offer. Imagine the Love for a King that could so transform us, that the world would notice.

There will come a day when every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. Every power, every principality, everything seen and unseen will bow to the King of Kings. He is just that glorious, and one day He will reveal himself to all.

Today you and I have a choice, to bow willingly before the Beautiful One; to choose to worship and serve God above and before any other desire, hope, pursuit, possession, knowledge, ability, or promotion that we may have or want. There are so many choices before us. There are so many ways we can spend ‘our’ time, talents, gifts, money, and resources. We even have choices for how we will “spend” the relationships we have been given (in fear, distance, and fighting, or in faith, love, and intimacy). This is not an issue of blessing and wealth. It is an issue of heart and love. What are you willing to spend yourself on? Will you spend what you have been given, earthly and temporary, as well as heavenly and eternal, to worship and serve the King? Will you choose today to bow your knee and confess with all that is in your hands and heart, that Jesus is indeed the Lord of your life?

Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened. Romans 1:21 (AMP)

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in). Matthew 6:24 (AMP)

Let’s check our hearts today to make sure that our actions and words show that we know and recognize God as good, loving, holy, and glorious by giving him our first, and best. Let’s be a people that honors and glorifies God in any and every circumstance; when life is going the way we think it should, and when it is not. Let’s serve God alone, giving him our love and devotion, trusting in him completely.
