What I am about to share with you is not so much a New Year’s Resolution, but a Heart Revolution.
There is so much talk of love flooding the airwaves. What is love. How do we love God? How do we love others? I want to be loved. You want to be loved. There is a hunger so deep, so just out of reach, insatiable by our own efforts to fill the need for love.
I am so excited to begin this year pressing into Jesus – getting as close as possible, grabbing onto all that He is, refusing to let go. He is life. And He is Love.
My heart needs a complete overhaul in the area of love, how about yours? I don’t need more Bible-study resolutions, or church attendance points… I need to know Love. No, that doesn’t mean should drop Bible studies, or our connection to the Body of Christ. We should completely show up: body, soul, and Spirit. Show up full of expectation. Show up ready for God to drop transforming, revolutionizing revelation into your heart. Show up expecting to encounter Love.
The world has a lot to say about what love is, and isn’t. But what about God? God is Love. With trembling hands, let’s begin to excavate this topic! Let’s find out what God, through is Word, the person of Christ, and the Holy Spirit want to reveal to us about Love!
[17] … And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, [18] may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, [19] and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fulness of God.
