Some words God has been whispering to my heart . . .

Come boldly before me and receive what is yours. It was purchased for you at a great price, but you must receive it. Come to me and receive it. It is the Lord God who calls you – it is I who have put you in this position, place and time. It is I who give you grace and authority to stand in my name. Come to me. Rest with me. Receive from me. This is not a small thing – you must come and come and come yet again … until you have received in full.

It is not a passion, a purpose, a calling or fulfillment of a promise, hope or dream that will satisfy you. I alone am able to fill you and my life is alone what fulfills your dreams. Your dreams will not fulfill your heart. A heart after me is fulfilled and a life of dreams and promise flow from it.

God ‘gets up’ every day and looks down on His “glorious inheritance in the Saints” – us, his bride. He has lavished so much, so costly, upon us. We can accept his hand, accept his offer; yet never give him our heart. Many people are doing great things for God, yet are bored. Doing ‘stuff’ for God does not satisfy our hearts.

It is not God’s desire that we should be “good” though that flows more easily out of a heart submitted and in love with Him. His desire is that we would grow and mature in our love for Jesus. He wants us to be part of the love that the Father has for the Son, the Son for the Father. We have been invited into Love Himself!

If your life’s vision is to be in love with Jesus, your heart will be satisfied, your life impacting the world more than you could ever have imagined. Let your life pursuit be to intimately know God, to be His friend, and you will be driven by what drives him, in love with what he loves. At the end of the day you will look back at how God moved through your life to impact others yet all those things will seem so small when compared to His willingness to draw near to you in those moments.

I love reading, studying, teaching and preaching the Word of God! My hearts desire is to see people set free, equipped for their calling, and strengthened through the transforming power of God’s Word.
